The Fire in downtown Appleton is an amazing place to have a birthday party for all ages. Make a pottery masterpiece and have your guests pick it up in 3-4 days (and you can get away with no "goody" bags!). Monkey Joes is a relative newcomer to the Fox Valley, and another fun place to celebrate a birthday. Parties include 1 1/2 hours of play in the party arena, and drinks. You can bring your own cake (don't forget the knife and candles!) and purchase ice cream or pizza for an additional charge. They have several packages, that serve up to 24 children. Prices start at $139 Mon-Thurs for 8 kids and go all the way up to $319 for a weekend party for 24 kids.

The Building for Kids is not only a great place for a birthday party, it's a great place any day. Their parties range from just the basics of hanging out the museum (no pizza, drinks or cake), to theme parties like pirates, princesses and jungle safari (that include cake and lemonade). The rates are a little cheaper for members, and they do offer a la carte options, such as goody bags, pizza and face painting to add to any party. Price is $115-$195 for up to 20 people.

Wild Air in Appleton is a fun place for bouncing and sliding fun! Your birthday party includes play time, a private room, and a host to bring everything together. One of the best parts of Wild Air is the separate areas for little bouncers and big bouncers, so the little ones don't get run over. Socks are required, long sleeves are recommended. You can bring in cake, goodie bags and ice cream, and the birthday packages come with drinks, popcorn and/or pizza depending on the package. For a unique party, have your child's "splash" at Swimtastic! Swimtastic Swim School in Menasha offers 3 different party packages that can accomodate up to 50 people. Their water is super warm (90 degrees), and you get swim for at least an hour. They take care of all the planning, set up, and clean up! Packages can include a party host to run organized swim games for 30 minutes of the pool time, up to 2 hours private use of the whole facility. Call for prices.

Another place that might not be the first to come to mind for your child's birthday party is a pool party at the Best Western Bridgewood Resort Hotel and Conference Center in Neenah.
